1. What are the differences between an EFM circuit and a Leased Line?
There are three key differences to these two connection types. Firstly the speed of an EFM circuit is usually slower and depends on the distance of your copper phone line from the exchange. When a quotation is provided we quote a guaranteed minimum speed and an expected (indicative) speed.
Secondly the cost of an EFM circuit will be less than a leased line, so if you only want up to 20Mbps with an SLA, EFM could be a better choice. Lastly the speed of installation on EFM is usually twice as fast because it uses existing copper lines and does not require a dedicated fibre connection
3. Are there ECC’s on an Ethernet circuit?
No. Installation costs are fixed and provided at point of quotation.
